You can write the row ID in a html attribute and use JS to read it from there.

Sample html:

<tr row_id="1234"></tr>

Sample JS (jQuery):

jQuery("tr").click(function(e) {
  var row_id = jQuery(e.currentTarget).attr("row_id");
